Can you imagine what California would look like if people had access to health care no matter what their income level or employment? How many more people would be productive in the state? How many more would go work and contribute to the economy of the state? Someone needs to do the math on California being the first state with a modern health care system that takes care of all of its citizens.
The California Senate approved creating a government-run health care system for the nation's most populous state on Thursday, ignoring a veto threat from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
